This is the only authentic, 18th Century Cape Cod house available as a vacation rental in Kingsburg. It has a wonderful view of Kingsburg Pond and the sun and moon as it rises out of the open ocean. It is a 2 minute drive, or a pleasant stroll, or bike ride to both Hirtle's Beach and Kingsburg Beach, two of Nova Scotia's wonderful open ocean sand and surf beaches. The house has been completely updated, but still features the original hand hewn ceiling beams, wide plank floors, wainscotting, chair rails, door and window trim. The 1.9 acre property rises as it retreats from the road, resulting in the most extraordinary uninterrupted panoramic view of the open ocean, peninsulas, ponds and surf from the privacy of the hilltop meadow. You can walk the undeveloped coast for miles from your door, over beaches and around headlands. There is a wonderful sandy bottomed swimming lake, ideal for children and adults, located only minutes away behind the dune at Hirtle's Beach. Only 20 minutes from historic Old Town Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with all its array of great restaurants and shops, and the home of the Bluenose. Located 80 minutes from Halifax.
